To best optimize the chances of a successful outcome, often more than one treatment is required. You can liken this to a prescription from your medical doctor, where every pill is a treatment and you are required to finish the entire prescription. It often takes far less treatments than there are pills in a prescription. Follow up visits are typically a lot shorter than your first, ranging anywhere from 10-20 minutes. Your chiropractor will want a brief update on how things are going, and then perform the necessary procedures.
